Ruffle scarves

Crocheted these over the weekend, was super easy to do once I got the hang of it. Knitting them is still a huge challenge with the sashay yarn.

This one is crazy long, it reminds of a boa but love how it looks.

Made this pretty purple one it is about half the size of the red one. It will be nice to not have to wrap it around a million times lol.

I also got some new wool, I love the color of it. Now the challenge of where to stash it and until I find something to make with it.

It is soo pretty. I love retail therapy and I did it just in time as this morning it has stared snowing, looks like it is not going to stop anytime soon. A perfect day to hide indoors and crochet up a storm, maybe I will get that first sock done……

Attempting socks……

I got the bright idea to make some socks after buying some slipper socks, I love them and they were dirt cheap. So hunting I went for a pattern that is easy as I have never attempted them.before. I found a great pattern on redheart.com the pattern is colorful crochet socks and it is easy to follow.  I am using sport weight wool and a 4mm hook my sock is more of a slipper but that is fine with me as it is the first time making them. If/when I make more I will go down a hook size or use the size of wool the pattern calls for.

Here are the front and back I’m working in the gusset and foot section. I’m excited to see how this turns out and if I can repeat the success with the second one.

Finished throw.

I finished the Kaleidoscope Throw at midnight last night.

I love how it looks and the colours although an odd assortment really work for me.

Now off to get ready for supper,  we are celebrating Thanks Giving today with my family 11 people in total. Tomorrow will be a relaxing day and turkey coma recovery lol.

Progress made :)

I’m back to crocheting this week and have made progess on my baby boys blanket.

I have 60 boxes (Squares), it is as big as he wants it. I have started decreasing now and it should go faster ( as long as I don’t slack off for a week again).  My boy is impatiently waiting and would rather I just cut the yarn and call it done now.

First row of decreasing.

If I keep at it the silly boy should have his hands on this by the weekend.
